Business.org is looking for someone to shop small for the holidays. And ‘small’ meaning small business. If you can make a commitment and buy gifts from hometown companies, you could be a likely candidate to get paid $1000.

This company is on a mission to help local businesses prosper and succeed. According to Business.org, when you buy goods from a hometown company, you are doing more than spending money, you are contributing to your local economy and community. This company believes that when you spend your money on a local level, you are also helping local governments improve public service through taxes. When a local organization succeeds and expands, you are creating job opportunities.

Business.org has a campaign going on right now on that challenges individuals to buy local this Christmas season. They are looking to pay one person $1000 to do this task. You have until November 27 to apply online. If you are selected, you will be required to keep track of your spending and document your experience. You will explain what was better about shopping local or if you did not have a good experience, explain why and where these small companies could use improvements.
