If you are driving or riding in a truck this week, make sure you buckle up. The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission in conjunction with the Lafayette Police Department and agencies throughout the state are conducting the “Buckle Up in your Truck” campaign.
According to the Louisiana Highway Safety commission pickup truck drivers, and their passengers have the lowest seat belt usage rate in our state. Now through Sunday, AprIl 28th, officers will be looking for drivers and passengers in trucks who are not wearing seat belts. Those who are not buckled up for safety will get a ticket. Remember “Click it or Ticket” in your truck.
