VH1’s Divas Live: The Unsilent Night holiday special, returned after a four-year hiatus. The Unsilent Night special, aired on Monday night (Dec. 5). Some of the amazing vocalists present were Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Patti Labelle, Vanessa Williams and Teyana Taylor! It was an hour long star studded special filled with Christmas tunes and sexy performances.

 Mariah Carey dazzled in a shimmery but sultry red and gold number, Carey rode in on a grand red sleigh and performed the night’s opening number surrounded by male dancers, dressed as toy soldiers, for a glamorous rendition of her 1994 holiday classic. The lady who wrote “Daddy Lessons” for Beyonce’s Lemonade album, Diana Gordon, got some shine of her own by performing a version of “Jingle Bell Rock”. Vanessa Williams had the most heartfelt introduction by her daughter before performing her classic hit, “Save the Best for Last”. The sexy Teyana Taylor (she blew up the Internet with her to die for body and dance moves in Kanye West’s “Fade” video earlier this year and she’s pictured in the thumbnail) performed her own rendition of Santa Baby. Smoking hot!!

They didnt leave out hip hop either! Remy Ma turned up, the holiday way, lol and performed the Run D-M-C rap “Christmas In Hollis. And the you know the show wouldnt have been compete without some old school, classic flavor. Auntie Patti, yes Labelle, joined forces with Chaka Khan to bring down the house!! At the end of the night, all the divas joined the veteran divas on-stage for a display of girl power!!

There’s nothing more uniting and wonderful to watch then women coming together, celebrating and empowering​ each other. It’s even better when its over Christmas carols during the holidays!! 🙂
