Koray Broussard is one of the musicians performing at the 2023 Creole Renaissance Festival, Saturday September 2, 2023 at the Rayne Civic Center in Rayne Louisiana. Koray has been playing Zydeco music all his life. He started out playing the drums with his father’s band the Zydeco Blazers when he was 8 years old. He started his own band The Zydeco Unit in 2009. Koray is a third generation Zydeco musician; his father John, uncle Jeffrey and grandfather Delton are included in the legendary group of musicians who helped paved the way for the Zydeco music we enjoy today.

Koray is a full-time musician. He regularly performs at festivals, concerts, and trailrides in Louisiana and Texas every weekend. When he is not working Koray spends his time in the studio, working on new music. His next album is titled Redemption and will be released later this year.
