The Lafayette Police Department is mourning the death of a fellow officer.  September 19, 2016 Lafayette Police Officer Corporal Jared A. Brown passed away from natural causes at his home in Lafayette.

Corporal Brown was an eleven year veteran of the Lafayette Police Department and served his community with great pride and dignity. Corporal Brown leaves behind two young sons and a daughter

 The Lafayette Police Department will honor Corporal Brown at his last roll call on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA.  An escort from Walters Funeral Home in Lafayette will take place prior to leaving for services in Baton Rouge.

 The Lafayette Police Depart asks for continued strength and prayer for Corporal Brown’s family and his co-workers in blue as we get through this untimely passing of our beloved Officer.
