Festival season is in full swing here in Louisiana. This week we are celebrating Zydeco Music. The 33rd Annual Zydeco Extravaganza is Sunday, May 26th at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette, Louisiana. It is the largest one day Zydeco Music Festival in the world. It is presented by the Cravins Family. Don, Charles, and Dustin Cravins, host the Cravins Brothers Zydeco and Info Show every Sunday from 9am – Noon on Z105.9 KFXZ, where the Z stands for Zydeco.
For the last 5 years I have been doing it with my boots at Zydeco Extravaganza. This annual music festival is also known as the Creole Coachella, the Creole Superbowl. I think you get it. It’s a Creole thing. A musical celebration of our Creole Culture here in Southwest Louisiana. This is where Zydeco Music was born.
You will have a good time. Zydeco music is contagious. It will have you dancing, bobbin your head, stomping your feet and clapping your hands to the beat. Get ready to enjoy good music, with good people, enjoying good food, having a Zydeco good time. Wear your dancing shoes and get on the dance floor and move.
