Another young black man is dead. The violence in our communities is real and it needs to stop.  Lafayette Police need your help to solve this murder.  

On Thursday, September 29, 2016 at approximately 12:30 am Lafayette police responded to the 1000 block of Ninth Street in reference to a shooting.   20 year old Tyler Etienne of Lafayette  was shot multiple times  He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  The investigation is ongoing and based on witness accounts  Detectives are looking for a black male suspect.  The suspect is reported to have run from the area on foot immediately after the shooting.
