The 40th Annual Original Southwest Zydeco Music Festival pays tribute to the original King of Zydeco, Clifton Chenier and to Wilbert Levier, an original member of the Treasures of Opelousas. The fun starts Friday September 2nd at Evangeline Downs Event Center and continues September 3rd at the Yambilee Festival Grounds in Opelousas. Admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 & Under. Saturday the entertainment starts with the Zydeco Breakfast and The Zydeco festival parade.
