Singer, songwriter, performer, wife, mother, Kami Cole is one of Louisiana’s original American Idol contestants. She has got the memories of the golden ticket to Hollywood and pictures with one of the original judges Randy Jackson, to prove it. Kami Cole was on Idol in 2006. She has been grinding for years perfecting her craft, and performing with local artists Kenny Wayne, the Flavor Band and the Grand Slam Band.
This Southern Soul Diva was born and raised by Louisiana parents in Denver Colorado. Her roots run deep throughout St Martin Parish. She admits she got her talent from her father Guitar Slim Cole from St. Martinville. Kami Cole is the real deal. This woman can sing. Don’t believe me just listen. She puts her heart and soul into every song. You can hear Kami Cole perform, Friday June 14 at Mojo’s at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas.
I have been enjoying 24/7 woman. Give it a listen. I am sure you will too. My favorite tracks are, New Man, What are you willing to do, I’m Hooked and the touching tribute to her mother, Missing You. The official release date for 24/7 Woman is Friday June 14. It will be available on all streaming outlets.
Check out the video for Sugar Daddy. In case you missed it, listen to my recent interview with Kami Cole on the At Work Network on Z1059.
