75th Annual Sugar Cane Festival
Hi Sugar!!!
So the 75th Annual Sugar Cane Festival took place this past weekend! Not a drop of rain, but ooh wee a whole lot of sun! My daughter, among others, was featured in the parade as a 2016 Masquerade Princess Pageant winner. She had fun and did a great job! Even her brother came to support her and threw candy into the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, it was thick and full of smiling faces!
Being a part of the parade, I didn’t get to see who the other participants were. Aside from that I’m really looking forward to next year’s festivities!
As far as my daughter and the pageant she was in, every summer, Ms. Kathy Collins puts on a Princess Pageant for young women ages 6 months to 18 years old! It’s really nice, quite affordable and great fun for the kids. Afterwards, the winners all get to be featured in parades! It’s a great social experience for your girls. Helps with grooming their confidence as well as developing social skills and of course they get to be a princess for the day! Every little girl is a princess no matter where they come from or what they look like!
OAN: Shout out to U-haul for taking care of us!!!
