The New Orleans Saints have what they call in the NFL “a lot of dead money”. Dead money is  paying players who are no longer on the team, but still on the team payroll.  Two examples are  Jimmy Graham and  Junior Galette. They are still getting contract money.  “Dead Money” is hurting the Saints.

What is also hurting the team, is missing on free agents like Jairus Byrd. He is the safety the Saints signed to a big free agent contract and the first 3 years of it he was hurt . He played the last two years but did not do what the saints expected.

The new tight end is Coby Fleener.   I think they have soured on him in the first year. I love the Saints but the draft is the way to go.  The Saints have not had any luck with free agents and I’m tired of seeing other teams build through the draft and the Saints keep throwing good money away after players that were let go by other teams. There is always a reason why they didn’t resign those players .
