St Martinville, Louisiana Main Street

The City of St. Martinville Main Street is thrilled to
announce the inaugural Christmas on the Bayou Festival, Sunday, December 10, 2023.

This festive celebration promises a day filled with family-friendly activities, a lively parade and festival alongside the historic Bayou Teche. The festivities kick off with a parade down Main Street, starting at 2PM from St. Martinville Sr. High and culminating at the iconic Old Fred’s Building on the corner of Main Street. Following the parade, the celebration continues with a festival featuring legendary Zydeco artist Keith Frank from 5pm to 7pm, accompanied by DJ Troy D. The festival will be spread across
downtown, with food trucks and pop-up shops on Evangeline Blvd., the concert stage on S. New Market Street, and a Children’s Corner in Catfish Alley. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on the festival grounds. Please note that no ice chests will be allowed.

Mayor Jason Willis expressed, “In St. Martinville, we believe in the power of community. As we gather to celebrate the season, we also aim to showcase the beauty of our city, and bring a renewed sense of pride to our residents.”

The primary goal of Christmas on the Bayou Festival aims to attract visitors to St. Martinville, promoting tourism and showcasing the unique charm of our city. Join us in creating cherished memories and spreading the festive spirit this holiday season. Sunday December 10th, 2023
