Sure, us good folks out here in Louisiana “claim” to know what gumbo is but who made us the experts?! Where did it actually originate? Louisiana or Africa? I’ve been looking at different and very unique(*insert side eye here) variations of what people are calling gumbo and besides making we want to run to the nearest bathroom to relief myself of said sight and my lunch, I have to wonder, who is really correct.

 But I have to ask, what the heck is this??!

Or this??!

And this doesn’t look horrible but it sure doesn’t look like gumbo!!
