The Cajundome has become a mainstay on world tours for the one-of-a-kind family entertainment which sees the team them put on an estimated 400-plus performances per year. The Harlem Globetrotters have previously held shows at the Cajundome in 2018 (twice) and 2016 (once).
The Harlem Globetrotters began nearly a century ago and have become worldwide icons of sports entertainment. From appearing on the popular cartoon “The New Scooby-Doo Movies” and their own Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon in the 1970’s to being inducted Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (2002), the Globetrotters have entertained millions.
The Globetrotters stop at the Cajundome next March won’t be the only time the famed basketball icons will be featured in Louisiana in 2020. Former Globetrotter star and coach Louis “Sweet Lou” Dunbar will be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches next June.
