This week’s slate of high school football games has been altered due to the threat of Hurricane Delta.

The threat of Hurricane Delta means that area high school football games will be played a little earlier than normal this week.

The St. Thomas More Cougars will not play Rummel this Friday night as originally scheduled. Instead, STM will host Walker on Wednesday night at Cougar Stadium. The game can be heard live on 103.7 The Game — and the free mobile app — with pregame starting at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Carencro at Southside is also moving up as the Golden Bears and Sharks will play on Wednesday night. To listen to the Carencro broadcast tune in to Z105.9 FM and for the Southside call listen to Mustang 107.1 FM or on the free mobile app. Pregame begins at 6:45 and kickoff slated for 7 p.m.

The Lafayette High Mighty Lions will take on the Comeaux Spartans two days earlier as well. Pregame is set for 6:45 and kickoff at 7 p.m. You can listen to the Roaring Lion Network on The Rewind 97.7 FM & 1330 AM or on the free mobile app.

Vermilion Parish will have not any high school football games this week due to Hurricane Delta. This means there will be no Vermilion Game of the Week on 1063 Radio Lafayette.

Opelousas Catholic meanwhile will travel west to take on Kinder on Wednesday night. Pregame starts at 6:45 and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be carried on News Talk 98.5 FM and & 1520-AM.
