If you need health insurance, you may want to consider applying for Medicare. Medicare Open Enrollment ends on Monday, December 7. This is also the deadline for anyone already enrolled to change their healthcare or prescription plan for the new year of 2021. Medicare has announced historically low rates. This could benefit anyone will high prescription drug costs from diseases such as diabetes.

Medicare Health Plans change every year so it is important to compare your options. Reviewing different plans could help you find a plan to meet your budget, provide better coverage and different providers. A new Medicare plan could also cover more of your prescription costs.

You can easily review a new health insurance plan by visiting Medicare.gov, or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE or contacting the State Health Insurance Assistance Program.

Medicare is reminding its recipients to consider getting a flu shot. If you are covered by Medicare Health Insurance, there is no cost to get a flu shot.
