We recently told you about independent filmmaker EJ Tyler. He wanted to do something about gun violence in the Opelousas area. His first feature film, “Against All Odds” recently opened to a positive community response. The film is about a parolee trying to turn his life around.

Tyler told KLFY “The community came out, and the online sales did well. And not just that, people got to talking about it. People loved it. And I left a cliffhanger.” He says audiences are eager to see what happens next.

City and parish officials threw their support behind the project. Tyler says the community response has enabled him to continue the project with a sequel. The Opelousas chief of police. will appear in the next installment. Tyler says “Against All Odds 2” will premiere July 22nd.
