Z1059 – Committed to Community Involvement
As a part of our mandate as professional broadcasters here at Delta Media and Z1059, we are compelled to participate and include our selves into various local community events and causes. Although we provide commercial air-time and promotional activity to a select group of clients; we understand that community service stands out as a number one priority.
One such event took place just last Saturday, February 8th, at Heavenly Taste Deli inside the Chevron, just off of I-49 North. The Fun Day event was a benefit to help St. Jude! Heavenly Taste Deli donated a portion of that day’s proceeds from the sale of burgers, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Z1059 supported this “Fun Day” event with a series of public service announcements. D’Anthony & Company from the Z1059 morning show was actively involved and on-location that very day. The kids from the surrounding communities were invited to come out to take photos with Mini Mouse and enjoy a burger as well.
We cannot emphasize enough, the importance of what the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital provides for children who are facing cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for their child’s lifesaving treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.
Z1059 is committed to public service, and proud to be a part of an event like this; helping children from our local community and the world over.
