Beyoncé thanked her mother, grandmother and Uncle Johnny for designing early Destiny’s Child costumes. She accepted the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards in NYC. She seriously sparkled in a pinstriped Givenchy suit and a mean wide-brimmed black hat.
The CFDA Fashion Awards recognize extraordinary design excellence in: womenswear, menswear, accessories, as well as accomplishments in journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement. CFDA stands for Council Of Fashion Designers of America.
