Is Pokemon Go a ‘go or a no-go?’

So if you remember a few weeks ago, I was obsessed with the Pokemon Go frenzy. Pokemon Go is actually the most popular app game out right now. That’s right people are more interested in catching Pokemon than crushing candies and farming animals.
I’ve been following the Pokemon Go stories as they pop up to decide whether its a good fad or bad fad. so far i’m still somewhat undecided.

pokemon 3

Pros:
* It’s a fun game to play with your kids. you can make a date of it, to go in the park and catch Pokemon with your kids, get some exercise in.
* Businesses, especially small businesses can use Pokemon Go to lure customers to their establishment. Like bait! If Pokemon Go can lead the customer to their business, all that business owner then has to do is, reach out to the customer and start selling.
* From the player/consumer’s point of view, its an opportunity to visit places in your community that you would have never thought to visit before the game. Road trip?
* Passing Time. It’s simply another game app you can play to pass time.
Cons:
* a lot of reports have been made about people playing the game on private property and inappropriately at important public places such as a Holocaust memorial site
* there was story once about a woman who was lead to a dead body floating in the river. Well that’s more of a pro than a con, at least she found him sooner than later, but still that’s not a “highlight of the day” I would ever look forward to.
* there have also been reports of teens using the app to lure Pokemon hunters to locations so they could rob them.
* This Pokemon Go also adds to the epidemic of people walking and driving around with their heads down and peering into their phones like zombies.
*It can even get you sued for trespassing onto people’s property like in this story here from KLFY.com

“Man files suit, for PokemonGo hunters trespassing”

Now I downloaded this app so I could speak more from an expert’s point of view, I do think that it is fun, but I see somethings that I don’t like about it. What I gathered from it was that its up to the user to not be an abuser. Pokemon Go can be a major distraction when driving, walking, working, etc. Dont give-in unless of coure its your misson to go Pokemon hunting, just remember to put safety first. And dont Pokemon Go and drive either. I plan on taking my kids to the park to play the game. But i’m going to monitor them to make sure they aren’t led out into the steet or into any dangerous situations.
And you too! If you decide to play the game, please be careful. I don’t want to hear anything about a person walking out into traffic and gettin hit because they were playing Pokemon Go.
