This is the weekend we stop to recognize the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Sunday  the community in Church Point will gather to rename Northwest Park to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park at 12 noon   Immediately following the ceremony the MLK parade will begin at 2 pm.

The Church Point High and Opelousas High School Bands will be featured in the parade, along with  fraternities and sororities  from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Keep the dream alive.  Plan to attend the MLK Holiday events in your area with your family.
