LSU baseball series with Ole Miss this weekend has been suspended.

In fact, all Southeastern Conference athletic events have been suspended through March 30th by the conference due to the spread of the coronavirus. SI Now’s Glenn West and Gannett Louisiana’s Glenn Guilbeau first reported the news on Twitter.

The SEC released the following statement on Thursday:

“Based on the latest developments and the continued spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Southeastern Conference today announced the suspension of regular season competition for teams in all sports on SEC campuses, as well SEC championship events, until March 30.
