If there was an award for “Nicest, Most Polite, Most Humble, Southern Soul Performer, It would go to Dermikus Walker. This young man is the truth. He is making his mark on the world, with some positive, feel good, Louisiana music.
Dermikus has released his freshman album, Tomorrow’s Not Promised. Z1059 has been jamming the title track for over a year now, and it shows no sign of slowing down. People love it, and it’s an awesome swing out track. It always packs the dance floor. We can all identify with his message: Tomorrow’s not promised so we better live our best life today.
Dermikus Walker also stars in the movie of the same title. “Tomorrow’s Not Promised”. The film, which was shot in and round Lafayette, Louisiana, addresses gun violence in our community.
The new album is now available so show him some love. It has 11 tracks. Some of the featured artist include, Lysa, Lil Runt, Jusco and Patrick Henry. It is feel good music to make you feel good. Dermikus recently spent some time with me on the At Work Network on Z1059. Listen to our interview posted above, it also includes his new single “I Need A Woman.”
